The Need for Competence Over Tribalism and Religiosity in Ghanaian Politics

In recent times, Ghana has been plagued by the rise of tribalism and religiosity in politics, with many politicians using these divisive issues to sway voters and gain power. However, the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), 'Instal the new Bibots', believes that this approach is a recipe for chaos and should be avoided at all costs.

According to him, if people were to vote based on tribal lines during party officer elections, he wouldn't have gotten any votes. This is because only two towns in Ghana speak his native Nkoran language. He emphasizes that the religious sect an individual decides to join is none of anyone's business, and what matters most is how they will use tax payer's money.

The Chairman believes that competence should be the determining factor in political decisions, rather than tribal or religious affiliations. This is a refreshing approach in Ghanaian politics, where many politicians have been using divisive tactics to gain power.

In order for Ghana to move forward and develop as a country, we need leaders who are capable of making informed decisions that benefit all Ghanaians, regardless of their tribe or religion.
